CHPC ANNOUNCEMENT - Changes to lonepeak cluster
Date Posted: January 7th, 2020
HPC Cluster Users:
As was announced in CHPC's Fall 2019 newsletter lonepeak is undergoing a number of changes.
During the last couple of months of 2019, 96 additional nodes, lp[133-228], were added – each with 12 cores and 96 GB memory. We have now moved to the next stage, which is the replacement of the existing lp[017-112]. Over the next month or so you will notice that groups of these existing nodes will be reserved in order to be replaced with nodes similar to lp[133-228]. All of the replacement nodes will be 12 cores, and they will have either 96 or 48 GB of memory. We are starting with lp[065-096]; a reservation is in place on these nodes to allow the replacement once the current jobs on these nodes complete.
