In the second session we will discuss the uses of scripting, then learn how to write simple shell scripts, followed by some more advanced scripting examples. Time permitting we will also present some information on how to compile software.
Requirements: You will need to bring a laptop with a functional connection to the campus WiFi. If your laptop is windows, you will need to install PuTTY (http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html) which is free.
